  Not sure if that is 281 George Street, Tyrrells Bookshop ? See note and persistent URL. Photo date 1891 (GPO clock) - 1896 (GPO additions).

  pellethepoet I see from Tyrrell's biography that the bookshop moved several times around Sydney. 1935 - ? at 281 George Street. I wonder when Tyrrell acquired Kerry's glass negatives.

  This was a publicity shot for 'The Romany' a 1923 British silent adventure film directed by Floyd Martin Thornton and starring Victor McLaglen, Irene Norman and Harvey Braban. The 'extras' behind the front three actors were real Romany families and their waggons etc.
