  trove.nla.gov.au/work/247379517 - Trove link to slide at PHM The key to the date here is Temple Court, on the corner of Elizabeth/King Sts, which looks to be under construction... trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/228696211 - the Sun, 13th January, 1913...this pic shows the exterior of Temple Court nearing completion...possibly taken at about the same time...within a month or so... Possibly the same occasion...within maybe 20 minutes or so... www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2696679645/ This other pic might have been taken at about the same time...if you zoom in you can see that Temple Court looks to be in a similar state of construction... www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2667023438/

Would you know if he was actually born in Brisbane, or would Lady Lamington have "retired" back to UK for the birth of her two children, Victor and Grizel?

  the entry for Lord Lamington in the Aistralian DIctionary of Biography records that Lord and Lady Lamington had leave in England in 1899-1900. Their son VIctor was born in 1896, and it is presumed that he was born in Brisbane. adb.anu.edu.au/biography/lamington-second-baron-7018 We'lll check the births, deaths and marriage records for that period and update you.
