LOC -- The man on the left is not "Hog." In another photo, he is identified as "Capt. Hoge" -- although you have mis-titled that photo with the name "Hodge."

He is Benjamin Franklin Hoge.

That is Sydney Edward GREGORY, Captain of the Australian cricket team in 1912. He is wearing the "baggy green cap" which is part of the uniform of our cricket team to this day. The Australian Coat of Arms with kangaroo and emu can be distinguished on the front of the cap in this picture. Born 14 April 1970, Died 1 August 1929. Right-hand bat, Right-arm bowler. Sydney Gregory made his first debut in New South Wales in the season of 1889-1890. He was then later selected to tour England with the Australian team. He was an amazing cricketer!
