Beech Bonanza at jackknife rig near Midland, Texas - Superior Oil Co.

I believe this is a Beech Bonanza (BE-33)rather than a Navion.

Thanks! We checked and you are correct. I have changed the title.

A correction to the correction, it's either a Model 35 (built in 1947-48) or a Model A35 (built in 1949) Bonanza. The Model 33 Debonair series was the single straight tail version that came much later. In any case it's a great photograph and very reminiscent of scenes of similar airplanes in So. Louisiana where I'm from.

Beautiful portrait - I live in the UK and all our engineering has mostly gone now (my dad was in the airo-engineering industry).
