    The name in the caption is incorrect. The name of the pilot is aviator and renown air mail pilot Paul F.Collins (b. 1891 - d. 1971 ). Collins' nickname was "Dog." Collins would later go on to work at Transcontinental Air Transport (TAT), TAT successor TWA, and Northeast Airlines. See: www.aviationhalloffamewisconsin.com/inductees/collins.htm

    This particular ship had quite a long life considering the date it was built.
