This site identifies a plane as the G.2 that I think is this one: eric.bailly2.free.fr/spip.php?article48 Also, this page on the serial numbers of British airplanes says No. 311 was a G2 www.ukserials.com/serials-older-000.htm

This is apparently the Flanders F.4 (or F4): "The Flanders F.4 was a 1910s British experimental military two-seat monoplane aircraft designed and built by Howard Flanders as a development of the Flanders F.3." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flanders_F.4 Wikipedia captions this photo as follows: "Flanders F.4, (No. 422) british monoplane, 1912 A Flanders monoplane undertaking experiments at Farnborough and Brooklands was the first service aircraft with radio in United Kingdom.
