One of the engine gondolas of the dirigible LZ 126 at her builder Luftschiffbau Zeppelin, in Friedrichshafen, Germany, prior to being delivered to the US Navy and christened USS Los Angeles (ZR-3). See:

Luftschiff LZ 126, better known as the US Navy airship USS Los Angeles (ZR-3). The dirigible was built by Luftschiffbau Zeppelin, in Friedrichshafen, Germany, as part of war reparations to the United States after the Great War. The date on the glass plate of "9/22/24," and lack of markings would place the airship in Germany, prior to her non-stop delivery flight from Friedrichshafen to Naval Air Station Lakehurst, New Jersey, October 12-15, 1924.
