Lockheed KC-130R Hercules (BuNo 160628; c/n 382-4776) would leave Marine Corps service and be transferred to the Chilean Air Force (Fuerza Aérea de Chile (FACh)) as a C-130H (FACh 990) in 2005. Sadly, on December 9, 2019, the aircraft was reported missing and presumably lost with all 38 souls aboard, during a flight from Punta Arenas to the Chilean Antarctic base at Base Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva.
