    Ha! My cousin lives in the building on the left now, they converted it to apartments. According to him, that fence in the front is where the swimming pool is now.

Lowell, Mass. - strikers before MERRIMACK MILL (LOC)

    This is the March - April, 1912 Lowell strike -- same strike as the photo of Big Bill Haywood with young strikers. The dispute began in the Merrimack's Number 1 weave room on March 25 and then spread to Lowell's other cotton mills as a strike and lockout. The workers might be picketing but they also might be showing up for their pay .
