World War One 1st Aero Squadron Collection

  • Alan Roesler said:
This is 1st Lieut. Arthur E. Easterbrook, with twin Lewis guns and 1st Lieut. Arthur J. Coyle, then 1st Aero Squadron commanding officer, with Coyle’s Salmson #24. Easterbrook flew missions with Coyle when Erwin was flying missions with Baucom. Note the German Cross patches covering the bullet holes in the fuselage. “Gertrude R” was the name of Easterbrook’s fiancée whom he married after the war.

Well they are going loaded for Bear in any event. The Lee Enfield rifles are standard issue but the Lewis Light Machine Gun would be for a mini battle.
