    adonis_sepquin and Richard Arthur Norton, Thanks for the additional information! We'll update the record with more details. It does appear her 'stage name' was actually Flores LaDue, rather than Florence. She is named as Flores in both the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and in this article on the Calgary Stampede used in the Canadian Encyclopedia, so we'll note that as well.

    this is a great shot. makes me want to draw it even though I can't draw horses...:)

    this could be part of the 1912 LA rodeo staged at Santa Anita. In the other shots you see bunting on the fences, US flags, plus the cowboy roping, the silver decorated bridles. It all appears show oriented. These may well have been trick riders who performed tricks and stunts.
