    beachcomber australia Hi Beachcomber - the WW1 nominal roll records him as returning to Australia on the 27 of August 1917. bit.ly/SJkBHG I you are super keen you can look at his full service record through www.naa.gov.au. You probably already know but just go to 'Search the Collection' then 'begin your search'. Surname & service number usually work best. Looks as though he was invalided home after spending most of his service in hospital....
