Hi - Thanks for all of your info! I think that what this means is that whoever wrote that notation on the back of the photo, meant that it was photographed in front of what was then (sometime after 1941...) Streeter's on Wash. St., not that that store was there in 1890 when the photograph was made. Thanks, BJ at KPL

The Boston Branch Grocery was located at 26 Washington Street (Warren's Block) in Keene. At the time of this photo (1888), the official street address was 8 Washington St, but it was renumbered in 1891. [1]
