    This site with vintage photos of belly dance performers has the same image identified as Fritzi Schaffer probably performing for vaudeville as Salome.

    Similar picture at bilder.beshkan.de/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=14 also suggests performing as Salome. The picture seems to have more writing on, but the resolution is not high enough to read.

    I think the image to which we've each linked (and from which this LOC one appears to be cropped) was a photo postcard with her name and role in the upper right and the publisher's info in the bottom right.
