  The story of these to women is simply incredible. Their bond must be very strong. I wonder how accurate "The Miracle Worker" tells their story. This is a wonderful moment in time. I am glad someone was there to photograph it.

  The South Africa national cricket team toured Australia in the 1931-32 season and played five Test matches against Australia. Australia won the series 5–0, all of their victories being by a substantial margin, three of them by an innings. First Test 27, 28, 30 November, 1, 2, 3 December 1931 Scorecard Australia v South Africa Australia won by an innings and 163 runs Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolloongabba, Brisbane Umpires: GE Borwick and GA Hele Australia won the toss and elected to bat. 29 November was taken as a rest day.   Great map. Of course it wasn't quite a final event in August 1947. Hyderabad wanted independence (from India) but was invaded about a month after the British left. Pondicherry was transferred to India in 1954. Goa was invaded and annexed in 1967. Kashmir, alas, remains in dispute.
