Thanks trialsanderrors, Wystan, and artolog for the additional details about this image relating to the Carman murder case. Based on date of 7/7/14 which is written on the negative, it would appear that this image of District Attorney Lewis Smith was taken before the trial of Mrs. Edwin Carman for the murder of Lulu Bailey.
