    This pic was taken at State Government House in Sydney, on 28th March, 1927, when the Duke and Duchess of York attended a garden party held in their honour. This pic might have been taken as the Duke of York inspected a RAAF guard of honour... In this pic we see the Duke of York with Flight Lieutenant Garnet Malley M.C., A.F.C. trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/245889042 - the Sun, 29th March, 1927 - there's a similar pic here which refers to Malley in the caption. trove.nla.gov.au/work/188066962 - for what it's worth, Geoff Hughes appears in this NLA Fairfax pic which was taken on this same occasion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ trove.nla.gov.au/work/185554774 - Both Geoff Hughes and Garnet Malley appear in this NLA Fairfax pic which was taken in Sydney at an Opening of Parliament ceremony in 1930. Here we see Hughes and Malley dressed in their ceremonial uniforms. Hughes is at the bottom of the stairs...Malley is to the very right of frame. If you're not familiar with Hughes and Malley, they can be differentiated by their service medals...Hughes didn't have a 1914-15 star, whereas Malley did. Both Hughes and Malley were in the Air Force Reserve at this point...Hughes was a Sydney solicitor and Malley worked in civil aviation...I gather they acted as RAAF staff officers and officiated at various ceremonies and functions held in Sydney.
