The men in the picture may be Cubans but I would guess they aren't "native" as in indigenous as they all look of either African or European descent. I just love all these pictures..

Elizabeth Freeman (center) (holding flag) "Elizabeth Freeman (1876-1942), was a suffragist and civil rights activist. Her name, and signature, is often given as "Elisabeth". [1] "The family emigrated to the United States and the family lived on Long Island in New York, where her mother, Mary Hall Freeman, worked for an orphanage. In 1913 she took part in the national Suffrage Hike to the inauguration of Woodrow Wilson in Washington, District of Columbia.
