From the linked nli record: Note on back reading: On Saturday 3 huge casks of tobacco were thrown into the Liffey. Yeasterday (Sunday) a Military 3 ton lorry endeavoured to salve the casks on shore but sunk in the mud. After efforts to try and save the lorry a "Whippet Tank" was dispatched to the rescue. Here is a photo of the rescue in the archive.

This was taken somewhere near the slip (now gone) and the Coast Guard Station on Pigeon House Road. Above the left cask is the G.S&WR goods shed (Point Depot) .
