It looks about right on the OSI map - particularly the couple of buildings on the left, then an empty bit. If so, it looks a bit different now.

Looking at it on Streetview (I'm not too good at uploading the Streetview link) it appears that the building down about 100 yards on the left is the current IBEC building! The street doesn't appear half as wide and open today, were the buildings rebuilt closer together?

Moira our comments crossed - I was going on the light and even the direction of the flag - it could of course be an east facing shoreline on the west coast, which would match with your suggested location

I've just added a note on the image which confirms this as Castletownbere - there's a very distinctive building with arched windows I assume on a staircase as they are not in line with the windows on each floor of the building
