Yes, it certainly has that Sunday morning feel and I remember walking along that same street early on Sunday mornings with not a car in sight! How things have changed. No doubt you want the name and antecedents of the cat Carol but you'll have to give us a clue;-p

Streetview, although the Streetview car has a much higher eyeline than the photographer, who was going for a cat's eye view!

That brings back memories. When I was going to school in Dublin during the 60's and 70's remember see some houses along the North Circular Road with similar white horses and positioned in the fanlight window too just like those ones!

I remember the Golden Goose logo on some shops and they were certainly still around in the late 70's.

I remember the Golden Goose logo and I think that it was a cooperative/promotional effort across a range of groceries.

White Horse Whiskey had a bottle to commemorate the late King George V! That may be where the notion of the white horse in his support came from??? www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-19527.aspx
