"Launched July 27, 1862 in La Ciotat. First in a series of three identical vessels with MEINAM and LA BOURDONNAIS . Starts on the Levant, until 1865, and then opens the Shanghai-Yokohama line in 1865. In 1870-1871, he stays on the line of the Levant, and then returns to Marseille to be transformed (lengthening the hull, lengthening Abant forecastle, poop and installation of a roof derrère the mainmast, processing machines) . From 1873 he was assigned as stationary on adjacent lines of Madagascar and the Indian Ocean. In 1886 it is stationary on the Noumea-Sydney line. Sold in Sydney in December 1888 in the Co. Hon.
