" NAVY LEAGUE DEPOT. Minister Presents Badges to Cadets. The Minister for Defence (Mr. Parkhill) on Saturday inspected the Navy League Sea Cadet Corps at the Sydney depot at Snapper Island, Port Jackson, and presented badges to the cadets who were responslble foi the building of the depot as a national memorial to the former HMAS Sydney. Mr. Parkhill thanked the superintendent (Mr Forsyth) on behalf of the Commonwealth Government for the wonderful work he was doing in giving these boys a chance of learning a career which they wished to follow in preference to taking part in the usual week-end sports. He thanked the boys for giving up their week-end to the study of nautical subjects, as, he said, they would be of great use to the Commonwealth. "
