Douglas DC-2-120 NC14921 c/n 1401 American Airlines 'A84'. Also flew with Delta. To the RAF as DG474, VT-AOW, to India Februray 1941, destroyed on the ground by a Japanese bombing raid at Yangon-Mingaladon on January 31, 1942.

This isn't cn 1486, but cn 1317. It was delivered to KLM and went on to win the handicap section of the London Melbourne race in October 1934. It tragically crashed a few months later on December 20th 1934 near Rutbah (in present day Irak). www.hdekker.info/Nieuwe%20map/1934.htm#20.12.1934
