De Havilland DH.98 Mosquito PR.XVI G-AOCI ex RN NS639. R. A. Short Ltd (no relation to Short Brothers) of Thruxton, UK purchased six ex RAF Mosquito PR.XVIs and had three overhauled at Hurn to sell to the Israeli Air Force in 1957. They received civil registrations G-AOCJ, M, and N. Three more (NS639/G-AOCI, NS753/G-AOCK, RG173/G-AOCL) were used for parts and never overhauled. They remained at Thruxton after R. A. Short closed down, and were burnt out in October 1960. Had they been stored in even marginal condition they'd be worth millions today.
