There is the date Feb 16 1912 printed in mirror writing on the photo, which seems to confirm the match.

Alfredo de Oro (1863?-1948) was a Cuban-born billiards player. In a championship career that began in 1887, he won the pocket billiards title 17 times and held the three-cushion billiards title ten times. He last participated in tournament play in 1934, at the age of 71. In 1967 he was inducted into the American Billiard Congress Hall of Fame.
