Suck Diesel For clarity, which numbers, please?
  • Niall McAuley said:
From wikipedia: The Second Dáil consisted of members elected at the 1921 elections, but with only members of Sinn Féin taking their seats. On 7 January 1922, it ratified the Anglo-Irish Treaty by 64 votes to 57 which would be 121 TDs, so this is only a small minority. Wikipedia lists the members, and there are only 5 women. I think 3 is Kathleen Clarke, 17 might be Mary MacSwiney. I don't think Countess Markievicz or Margaret Pearse are pictured.

The catalogue says Count Plunkett and William Cosgrave are here, the Count would be number 8, but I don't see Cosgrave.
  • Carol Maddock said:
Niall McAuley I think Cosgrave is a Krazy Kataloguer mistake too! Agree on no. 8 being Count Plunkett. But I disagree about no. 3 and no. 17. I believe no. 3 is Kate/Kathleen O'Callaghan, and that no. 6 is Mary MacSwiney.

For God's sake nobody smile?

    Art O'Briain:

    Art O Briain

Is that beardy lad beside him the same Fintan Murphy as in this one? (guessed at 1919-20)

First Envoy to the Irish Republic in London : Art Ó Bríain 1919-1924, with members of the staff.

Men in coats and suits!
