"In the Autumn and Winter of 1915, a body of distinguished and representative Frenchmen visited the United States, their object being to make an investigation of conditions here, having in mind the great need of France in war munitions, the steel in ingot and bar form very much needed for the manufacture of war materials, and the numerous other commodities necessary for prosecution of the war, which had been in progress more than a year." --"A Journey through France in War Time," www.gutenberg.org/files/20464/20464.txt

The commission arrived aboard the new liner Lafayette. Maurice Damour was the head. It had come to the United States to make arrangements for the purchase of American goods to the amont of $ 1.000.000.000 after the war (The Evening herald, November 18, 1915, Page 3). "None of the money, said M. Damour ... will be spent on ammunition. All will be spent for agricultural, industrial and commercial material" (The Liberal democrat, December 03, 1915, Image 8)

The correct names are E. Delasalle-Thiriez, J. Lesueur, L. Trincane and G. Chaffour (The public ledger., December 02, 1915, Image 1 and others). According to The Evening herald, November 18, 1915, Page 3 it's L. Trincano and G. Chauffour.
