This is the only building that is still standing and it now houses the Museum of Science and Industry.

The two plaster lion sculptures were created by famed animal sculptor, Edward Kemeys. They were so well liked that Kemeys was commissioned to cast them in bronze and they were gifted to the Art Institute of Chicago. They are beloved by Chicagoans and are always decorated for the holidays as well as to cheer on a Chicago sports team in the finals. More of Kemeys' work can be seen in Chicago's beautiful Marquette Building in the Loop.
