This is actually a DC 3S or Super DC3...I flew this aircraft for the Western Company ( hence the n number WC) in the late 60’s and was type rated in this exact plane as a DC3S...the Marines flew them as R4D’s

NC2333 was used by both a Model 14 Super Electra (c/n 1417) and a Model 18-56 Lockheed Model 18-56 Lodestar (c/n 2089) . Lodestar NC2333 was impressed by the USAAF as C-56 41-19729 4-2-41, later became N61M, and is now at the Travis Air Museum. via rods fotos. Lockheed 14-N Super Electra c/n 1417, also with the registration NC2333, became RAF AX681. Maybe they gave the reg NC2333 to the 14 first, then when that aircraft went to the RAF the reg was recycled and applied to the Lodestar? Below are photos of Model 14 NC2333 on SDASM's Flickr page.

The style and location of the exhaust stack indicates this is a Model 14 Super Electra.

Yes, and as I stated above, the registration NC2333 was used by both a Model 14 Super Electra and a Model 18 Lodestar. See page 556 of Air Britain's "Lockheed Twins" book by Peter J. Marson.
