He was an official in Near East Relief in the 20's, like some of the others in this 1927 series, a U.S. foreign aid program created in response to the Armenian Genocide: "Acheson, Rev. George Barclay D.D.: Leader in the Near East Relief movement and New Era Movement for the Presbyterian Church in the 1920's and 30's.
