  Impressive all those card drawers. A few years ago I saw photographs of these card catalogs which are preserved somewhere in the cellar of the Library of Congress.

  Good point Beachcomber. It's from the Hood collection - obviously not actually taken by Sam. I've amended the thoughtless attribution above!

  The State Libvrary also holds the collection of Ted Hood, Sam Hood's son, and in this case the photographer would probably be Ted Hood, assuming the date is correct (and it is not always possible to know this with many photographic collections)
