    Interesting that this photographer took so many pictures of this mine. It is really an ugly blotch on this beautiful area--unless you count the gold it produced. Now it's just part of the history. The colors in this photograph seem better preserved than the rest.

    Those items in question may be power transmission supports or part of an aerial tramway bringing ore to the mill.

    I second the tramway concept. It would surprise me if those were electrical poles.

    Those are tram lines. No reason there would be power lines coming from that direction (up the mountain). You can see the line entering into the tram room atop the mill building.
