They are at the then train station. 25" map. Per eiretrains: Pettigo, Co.Fermanagh, is located on the former Great Northern Railway's branch line to the well known coastal resort of Bundoran, built in June 1886 and unfortunately closed in November 1957 EDIT: Per Fred Dean's comment below, it seems eiretrains has the wrong date here, and the station actually opened in 1868.

The conveyance on our left is labelled Flood's Hotel. Here is Daniel J. Flood, Hotel Proprietor in the census of 1901 and 1911.

The bus on our right is labelled Brennans Pettigoe. There are no Brennans at all in the 1901 census in Pettigoe, and none who look to be running charabancs in 1911.

Based on the fact that it's on a junction, and the ground slopes steeply right to left, I'm going to guess that this shop is at 12 Broad Street. If so, the shop is long gone, replaced by an ugly cubic thing.

I would say that the local Horrockses sales, marketing and merchantising team paid for this photograph. They probably won the annual marketing prize for their efforts here!!

They were a right crowd of Horrockes and thats for sure. What a wonderful shot, not only of the gentleman and his infant son in whom he has such pride but of the display and variety he has in his shop and windows. Blasts from the past - gingham, voile, overalls, flannelettes - this one has it all including the picture on display of the old lady with the loom.

Swordscookie I know! The only thing missing is Winceyette... Or is it? Screwing in monocle, and having another look!

That's Church Road Jct in Dublin, down in the North Wall yards area. The view is looking west, with the bridge of the Dublin-Belfast line on the horizon. As the signal on one of the gantries is in the 'off' position, the loco is coming towards O'Dea presumebly to shunt or take out of a goods train. The Brennan's shop is now an ordinary residence.
