CV-440-32, s/n 375. To Braniff 20 November 1956 as N3432. Converted to CV-580 1967. Went through many owners and registrations last serving with Nolinor Aviation as C-GNRL in 2004. Written off 20 March 2011 at Seattle-Boeing Field, WA when it overran a chock on an engine test, struck a fence and another aircraft.

This brings to mind one of the air magazines Dad got in the 1970s; had an article about flying a Braniff 747 painted orange which had been nicknamed the Great Pumpkin. Whether same or different magazine issue and which magazine title is not remembered at this point on the calendar but in one there was an anecdote about a brown or orange Braniff 737 "waddling down the runway", I think it was said, and as it climbed off the runway someone on open radio commented "Nice punt."
