Passengers leaving aeroplane at Arlanda airport in Stockholm about 1965

I believe this photo was taken at Arlanda, not Bromma. The background matches photos taken at ARN, such as this one: www.airliners.net/photo/Finnair/Sud-SE-210-Caravelle/0086... In any case the aircraft is a DC-8 and I doubt that this large jet type would have been able to safely operate from the short runway at Bromma.

In 2007 an airworthy vintage DC-6 of Air Atlantique was painted as KLM DC-6A Liftmaster "Dr. Ir. M.A. Damme" for the filming of the movie "Bride Flight".

This picture was taken at Hamburg Airport in September 2007:

Thanks for the picture! It's great to compare the two.

After passing through a series of operators, this aircraft (PH-TGA, Douglas Serial No. 44076/391) would meet its end after an in-flight engine fire resulted in a non-fatal landing accident at San Juan Airport (SLJN) in San Juan, Bolivia on February 6, 1974. At that time the aircraft was owned and operated by ALCON (Aerolineas Comerciales Nacionales) with the registration CP-947. Due to the damage sustained (nose gear collapse and forward fuselage), the aircraft was written off.

Convair , 640

Caption should be corrected to reflect that this is a Convair 640, as evidenced by the Rolls Royce Dart turboprop conversion from its original Convair 340 configuration.
