    wtf? There is no visible engines on this "aircraft" . Looks like a "Make work" project for Marine recruits. The life expectancy for this "aircraft in combat would be seven seconds. (give or take a second)

    It wasn't meant to fly independently. The balloon was attached to cables, floated high aloft above a battlefield, and the attached cables stretching across the sky made it impossible for enemy aircraft to provide close air support to troops on the ground.
