I grew up living near both Station and Princess pier and have many fond memories of them. I enjoy seeing historical shots of them such as this one.

I know one of the gentlemen in this photo (13th head from the right with moustache). He is my Great Great Grandfather Sapper Alfred Baldwin. Number 3942. Fought on the Western Front, returned to Australia 18th May 1918. He was 44 years and 3 months when he enlisted (one of the oldest?). I have many photos and letters from soldiers from Violet Town/Boho in northern Victoria.
