Belgian Artillery going to front (LOC)

    ironically, this appears to be a German design 77 mm field gun. The barrel design and the part under the barrel are distinctive. As a neutral country, one must imagine Belgium could purchase arms from any willing seller. here is an example: www.flickr.com/photos/9028007@N05/3732286252/

    His unit was not part of the 1st Pa Light Art'y Regiment, but rather an Independent (Light Artillery) Battery B - Muehler's Battery (served Oct 1861 - Oct 1865). A fantastic photo and wrenching sentiment.
