After 1933 so far (going by acquisition dates of artworks - see notes).

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] I agree the fashion will be the best way to get an accurate date for this one. The acquisition date of the artworks only gives an earliest possible date, and it's quite possible there are later paintings not in the frame (pardon the pun!).

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] I haven't experienced the New Flickr since the opt-out-able (for some users) Beta preview. Are the notes really not visible? I shudder to think of the thousands of research notes (and important links) we will lose. Did the great Panda god of Flickr roll it out to you out of the blue? So far I've been immune, but I understand beachcomber australia has been infected.

PS. I've left a note on the 'Marguerites' painting for you.

Here there are two objects of similar size: a very large tomato sits beside a small bisected pineapple, freely painted with a warm palette." - www.christies.com/lotfinder/paintings/sir-william-nichols...

Flickr has been sold to Google, who have promised to reinstate the previous user-friendly layout and introduce sensible improvements with options.

Assuming this is the view from the Mall, today you would see the East Wing building off to the right.
