Also the engine is a 2 or 4-cylinder engine (no Anzani), most likely a Dutheil-Chambers which was built in a horizontal 2-cylinder version of 20 hp (air cooled). Surely the machine superficially looks like a Blériot monoplane (Type XI) but it is not a Blériot as none of them was fitted with the mentioned horizontal engine. Further I seem to see different details in the wing (very deep) and the way the wing warping is accomplished (two pyramidal constructions above the fuselage). Everything hints to one of the many contemporary builders who based their machine of the Blériot Type XI and made their own adjustments to 'upgrade' it. Machine on the picture could be from the USA.

    The picture shows the 1929 high wing monoplane designed by Clarence O. Prest (1896-1954) and built by Prest Airplane & Motor Co. The machine was registered as X876K. Engine was a 45 hp Anzani. The machine was identified as the 'Baby Pursuit'. Probably because of the depression there was only one sample built. There are more pictures of this machine in the collection of E.G.Rowell. Identity could best be defined as the Prest Baby Pursuit (1929)
