This must be the town of Ronda in Andalusia!
I have been there in 2002. This picture was taken from the other side.

Isn't it amazing! Your photograph, taken 124 later than the one by Carl Curman, shows clearly that this is Ronda. Same portico - no doubt. Yes and no. This is a snapshot, most likely taken by a box or small bellows camera. If the photographer doesn't have a steady hand when hitting the trigger, then this happens. Minute exposures were common, but I believe more so in professional studios. This has "snapshot" all over it.

I wonder if any of the young ladies actually went up in the plane?

The Heavy Cruiser looks like either HMAS Canberra or HMAS Australia.

The Kalang and Koondooloo were made obsolete as car ferries, following the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, and eventually converted to Harbour Showboats, immediately popular with the public , Kalang later renamed the 'Sydney Queen'.
