Thanks for suggesting the Corinth Canal. We have updated our museum records accordingly. During their world circumnavigation on yacht SIRIUS, the Nossiters stopped at Crete and Cephalonia and then passed through the Corinth Canal.

beachcomber australia It's a great story isn't it? His life reads like a classic boys adventure novel - sharks and all. Did you see he married while in Australia in 1871? (Hence the ladies by the name of 'Walker' who were described as relatives in the first article.) Love that the first article recorded both the boorish behaviour of LADY MANNING's passengers, as well as each round of applause!
