Church of the Intercession of the Theotokos (Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God) in Vladivostok. Like so many Russian churches, it would be seized by those aligned with the Bolsheviks, ultimately to be closed and dynamited by the Communists (who also seized the land and adjacent cemetery). Surely to add insult to injury, a monument to Lenin was built on the foundation of the demolished church. In 1991, the land was returned to the Orthodox Church and construction of a new church at the site was completed in 2007.
