This is George M. Church (1891-1946), who eliminated the sensational Ichiya Kumagae in the second round at Forest Hills in the National Championships, later renamed the U.S. Open, on August 30, 1916. This is Dean Mathey (1890-1972) of Cranford, N.J. playing in the National Tennis Championships in August, 1916 in Forest Hills, N.Y. He reached the third round that year.
