'Suk' was probably the term of another tribe for the people who called themselves Pokot.

As I understand it Suk was a term meaning "snot" applied to the Pokot by the Masai (spelt Maasai -today). When the European officials asked about that particular tribe this was the response. Likewise the Kamasia are the Tugen. And while we are correcting things how about correcting "Beringo" to "Baringo".
