Mississipi Bay, Negishi in Japanese, is over the hill to the south of the centre of Yokohama. The bay was called Mississipi after Commodore Perry's flagship. Many foreign residents came to Negishi for picnics and days out. Some moved to Negishi even though it was outside the foreign settlement. The area has now been reclaimed and an expressway runs through it.

Hi there, this is not Chinese Temple. It was the very first industry association in Shanghai for the merchant ships owned by Chinese merchants. In Chinese it is written as “商船会馆” and it was built around 1715. It is now the historicial building under protection in Shanghai.
