    Yes, it is possible. This could be the Leenane Hotel before the big double gable part was built on at the left end.

    Nigel Leyland Nigle, if you click on the Nli Ref: link above you can go to our catalogue and zoom into the photograph, I had a look and I would not call it a Martello tower, that said, I am wrong about 50% of the time!

    National Library of Ireland on The Commons You're right. There's a curtain wall and twin towers that look like a gatehouse to the right of the large circular tower. It's definitely a fortification of some sort.
