Reading from the detail and looking up Streetview the town hall in the background appears to be gone now which makes it a bit harder to locate!

National Library of Ireland on The Commons A quick perusal of the references to 'threshing machine' in Freeman's Journal suggests that Cpl Jones might have been lucky to survive the incident at 21:20. There are plenty of tales of gruesome fatalities from falling into the machinery of getting one's clothes caught. The lucky ones got away with an amputation. I realise that incidents which did not result in injury are not news, and only bad news tends to be reported, but with all those belts and wheels I think I would stand well clear of such a beast.

Threshing in the snow, Stony Plain, Alberta

Judging by the look of the tractors, one a three-wheel and the other a J.I. Case, this is later than ca. 1912.

Quite possibly. The 1912 date was a rough estimate given in the absence of clear information and was probably based on contextual information among the other photos and records that were donated at the time of this photo. If more accurate information arises, then we will correct the date. In archival description, there are allowances for dating a record as being [after 1912] or a similar pattern, but Flickr is not designed for such nuance so we have to use the much blunter "circa 1912" designation. Thanks for the tip!
