MS-230 a/c flown in "The Blue Max" movie, starring George Peppard. It wore German markings and played the part of the "secret German monoplane". George Peppard purchased and flew the a/c after the movie was completed, eventually donating it to museum. Recovered and restored to correct French markings by museum Phoenix Flight volunteers.

Morane-Saulnier MS.230. Flown as the "secret German monoplane" in the movie "The Blue Max", 1966. Purchased after filming by star George Peppard, and later donated to museum. Arrived in German markings remaining from movie (see photo), but was recovered, restored, and repainted by museum basement restoration workers before going on display with correct French markings.
